Electrical components - The VSE skylight comes with a pre-installed concealed motor and control system. One rain sensor that automatically closes your skylight during inclement weather is also included.

Convenient remote control
The VSE skylight opens and closes quietly from anywhere in the house using our new innovate RF remote control (included).

Simple installation
The VSE skylight installs right out of the box using a single 14 gauge hard wire that connects into a standard junction box unlike other motorized skylights. 20 feet of wire is included.

Pick&Click! ™ pre-installed
The new innovative Pick&Click! ™ brackets make blind installation a snap! Every VSE (VS, FS) skylight comes pre-installed with Pick&Click! ™ brackets that allows for fast and easy installation of sunscreening blinds and accessories.

Energy efficient glass options for added safety and energy efficiency
All VELUX skylight glazings are built using energy efficient, LoE3, Argon gas injected dual glass panes. The VSE skylight comes with your choice of the following glazing options, each designed to meet the needs of specific building situations:

* Impact glass - Special safety glass designed to meet code requirements for hurricane prone areas (Available for select sizes).
* Laminated glass - Tempered safety glass with extra laminated pane for added safety and comfort
* Snowload glass - Special safety glass required in some heavy snow areas

A complete line of flashing systems help ensure a weathertight installation for your VSE skylight, no matter what your roofing material:

Sunscreening options for optimal light control
The VSE skylight comes pre-wired for an interior blind. This skylight model is compatible with several blinds to control the light and heat entering the space.

* Electric Blackout Blinds – Blocks the light.
* Electric Venetian Blinds - Accurate glare and light control.
* Electric Roller Blinds – Diffuse the light.

Quality construction
The VSE skylight comes with pre-finished white frames and sashes that eliminate the need for secondary high cost trips by a painter. An insect screen, a stainless steel chain operator and aluminum or copper cladding is also included in the package.

The VELUX deck mounted product family is now designated The No Leak Skylight. It carries the new 10-year installation warranty plus 20 years on glass, 10 years on product, and five years on blinds and controls. Features include 3 layers of water protection – advanced LoE3 glass for better energy efficiency, higher visible light transmittance, and improved solar heat gain performance – money-saving pre-finished white frames and sashes – pre-mounted brackets for quick installation of sunscreen blinds – lower roof profile with an updated curved architectural design – and a neutral gray color to blend with most roof materials and colors.
